The Melvin Price Convocation Center (MPCC) is home to the McKendree University Volleyball, Wrestling, and Men's and Women's Basketball teams. The facility also includes athletic offices for coaches and support staff. The facility was built in 1988 and is named after former United States Congressman and East St. Louis native Charles Melvin Price. Capacity for the gym is approximately 1,600 and parking is available in north MPCC lot adjacent to the attached intramural gymnasium.

The McKendree University volleyball team has a 180-93 home record in the MPCC and has won just under two-thirds of their home contests held in the building.

The McKendree wrestling team has also enjoyed success in competition at the MPCC, posting a dual meet record of 26-8 and a winning percentage of over 76 percent at home.

In 2004 the MPCC saw history when head men's basketball coach Harry Statham surpassed University of North Carolina’s Dean Smith as the all-time winningest men’s basketball coach with his 880th victory. In November of 2009, Statham won his 1,000th career game. The McKendree men’s basketball team has won 12 American Midwest Conference championships since starting play in the MPCC and has a home record of 327-58 in that span. The Bearcats have won just under 85 percent of their home games since 1988.

The McKendree women’s basketball team has won six AMC titles since 1988 and has a record 208-87 on their home court. McKendree has won just over 70 percent of their home games since the MPCC opened.

The McKendree men’s and women’s basketball teams, volleyball team and wrestling team have all had at least one undefeated season competing in the MPCC since 1988.
